Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land

When David was pursued by Saul he cried out to the Lord

God heard their pleas of faith and power was their reward

Power in your weakness power when you’re strong

Whatever the circumstances He’ll carry you along

When you are discouraged when you feel unsure

Remember who your father is there’s power in the Lord

When you face the struggles of this life just give them to the Lord

He will walk by your side you’ll never be alone

Get on your knees and pray lay it all on Him

In the heat of the day on that sun covered hill

a thief hung beside Him in torment and guilt

He looked in His eyes said remember me today

paradise is nearing just moments away

In the shadow of the cross he saw his Savior

There are days that I feel discouraged and I’m ready to move on

It seems I’m loosing ground my strength is almost gone

I get to thinkin’ bout my destination and all the bad seems to fade away

I get happy while on my journey and I’m lookin’ for a brighter day

Even so come Lord Jesus Oh please don’t delay

For I’m ready to go to heaven to that land of endless day

I’m not worried about tomorrow for I’m on the straight and narrow way

Even so come Lord Jesus for I’m ready to fly today

If He came back today well that would be alright

I’m ready for the place of glory I’m ready for the heavenly flight

Every tear shall be wiped away by God’s very own hand

Lord I’m glad you didn’t let me look ahead

to see the trials I would have to face

I would have lived my life caught up in fear and dread

and missed a lot of joy along the way

On this journey I have had my share of tears lonely days

when it was hard to understand

But you’d whisper to me gently “child I’m here”

and I knew that you were holdin’ to my hand

Every step that I have taken

Every valley I’ve walked through

I have seen that your grace cannot be shaken

Every step brought me closer Lord to you

I have known a peace that I could not explain

when everything around me fell apart

For your promises brought hope within my pain

and you would heal the wounds inside my heart

When my feet could not go on another mile

for the road had left me tired and oh so weak

I would hear you whisper “child come rest awhile”

then you’d hold me close and weep along with me.

I was on a dead end road headin’ for nowhere

the day that the Savior stopped me

He asked me a question do you know where you’re goin’

do you know what it is to serve me

I new I couldn’t ignore Him His call was so clear

it was time for a change of heart

Now I’m serving Him wholly and I’m thankful that

He gave me a brand new start

Along for the ride He holds tomorrow

Leaning on Him removes all the worry

I’m never disappointed and I know that I’m anointed
